In the castle nursery, bells rang and banners waved— a Princess had been born at last! The King and Queen smiled as the good fairies flew in to bless her.

One good fairy gave the Princess joy. Another raised her wand to give kindness, when suddenly, the warm hall air turned icy cold.

The bad witch swept in, her cloak moving like smoke. “I, too, have a gift,” she said in an icy tone. “On her sixteenth birthday, she will prick her finger on a spindle and sleep forever.”

Gasps echoed across the room. Before the bad witch vanished, a good fairy whispered a counterspell: “She shall not die, but sleep, until true love’s kiss awakens her.”

Years passed with music, sunlight, and laughter. The Princess grew gentle and bright, unaware of the dark promise waiting. Still, the good fairies watched over her from afar.

On her sixteenth birthday, the castle shimmered with celebration. While the King and Queen prepared a feast, the Princess wandered into quiet hallways she had never explored.

Up a narrow stair, she saw a door half open. Inside, in a dusty room, an old woman bent over a glowing spindle. “Would you like to try, dear?” came the whisper.

Drawn by a strange pull, the Princess reached out— “prick!” The spindle spun once more, and she fell gently to the floor, asleep.

The magic spread instantly. From tower to kitchen, garden to throne room, everyone stopped mid-breath. The entire castle slipped into silent dreaming.

Vines burst from the roots of the forest, climbing walls and gates. Roses curled over the stones like soft, red guards. Years passed, then decades, as the world forgot the sleeping kingdom.

One day, a Prince rode through the forest. He saw the overgrown towers hidden behind thorned walls. With a glowing sword, he cut a path through the dark vines.

Inside the silent halls, dust shimmered like tiny stars. He followed a silver thread of fate down corridor after corridor. At last, he found the Princess—still, peaceful, shining faintly with magic.

The Prince knelt beside her. He whispered, “I have been searching for someone brave and true.” Then he kissed her hand—gentle as sunrise.

The spell broke like dawn breaking clouds. The vines melted into blossoms. The Princess’s eyes opened—blue as morning. “Did I sleep long?” she asked with a soft smile.

Trumpets sounded once more. The King and Queen embraced their daughter, tears bright with joy. The whole castle woke to music and warm light.

In the sunlit garden, the Princess and the Prince walked beneath blooming roses. The good fairies sparkled in the air above them, laughing softly. And the silver thread of fate gleamed bright and new, a promise of hope, courage, and love awakening the world again.
